As we prepare to return to school for the 2021/2022 school year, we are excited to announce that last year’s School Therapy Dog-in-training (Harry) has been permanently placed with Mohawk Local Schools! Harry’s placement was made possible by the Student Health and Wellness Grant as part of Each Child, Our Future (Ohio’s strategic plan for education).
While this news is exciting, we recognize that allergies and dog fears can be concerns for some of our families. Please be assured that students will only interact with the dog on a voluntary basis, and that we will work together to ensure their safety and comfort at school.
