The Mohawk Local School
District will be holding Kindergarten Screening on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May
3 at the district’s MCI Building.
Children who will be 5
years old on or before August 1, 2019 are required by law to register and to be
screened. The screening process includes
assessments in the areas of: vision, hearing, speech and language, and general
academic readiness skills.
If you have a child that
will be eligible, please call Mrs. LuAnn Tooley at 419-927-2595 between 8:30 am
and 3:30 pm to schedule a specific screening appointment. When you call for the
appointment, you will need the following information: child’s full name, address, phone number and
date of birth, preferred date and time of screening appointment.
May 2 and 3 will be the
only screening sessions that will be held for Mohawk students. You must register for this screening if your
child will be attending kindergarten in the fall. Screening registration will close on Monday, April
29.
